Musical Offerings for Easter

by Jerry Rich, Director of Music

Trinity’s Chancel Choir will present four new anthems in April (Tom Fettke’s expressive A Wideness in God’s Mercy for the Fifth Sunday in Lent, Caleb French’s festive All Glory, Laud and Honor for Palm Sunday, John Reim’s stately O Lamb of God for Maundy Thursday, and John Hudson’s O Love Divine on Good Friday) while bringing back two choir favorites: Walt Harrah’s reverent We Remember You and FJ Haydn’s triumphal Gloria from his Heiligmesse. The Trinity Ringers’ Easter offerings will be Judy McAninch’s stirring setting of the Easter hymn Lift High the Cross and Handel’s jaunty Hornpipe from his Water Music. If this musical feast makes you wonder if you should join one of Trinity’s adult choirs after Easter Sunday, please attend a rehearsal and see for yourself!

Our choirs rehearse Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. for Trinity Ringers and 7:30 p.m. for Chancel Choir. Contact Jerry Rich for more information.
