May 2016 Book Chat

If you’d like to try Trinity’s book club before it breaks for the summer, please join us in the Library on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Madame Bovary, the debut novel of French writer Gustave Flaubert, about a character who lives beyond her means in order to escape the banalities and emptiness of provincial life. It caused quite a stir when it was published in 1856, but it’s now considered to be Flaubert’s masterpiece, and one of the most influential literary works in history. For more information about Book Chat – or to be added to the email list – contact Kathy Maher.
