We continue to pray for those seeking employment, college students, travelers, the people of California, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, relief workers, those dealing with mental illness, our elected leaders, church committees, military families, immigrants and the people and communities affected by violence.

We extend sympathy to Ray & Eileen Gilmer on the death of Ray’s aunt, Jean Simmons.

Crafts for a Cause: The mountain of flannel, fleece and cotton in the Crafts for a Cause workroom has been trimmed back to a small hill, and the resulting comfort items have been dispatched to hospitals, shelters and African villages. Thanks to Cindy and Jim Wilson for delivering 25 fleece blankets and hats to the Carpenter’s Shelter in Alexandria. We also sent a box of 31 dresses and a dozen dolls to needy girls in Uganda. That’s in addition to our monthly delivery to Fair Oaks Hospital of neck pillows, surgery dolls and baby caps.

If you’d like to be a part of this rewarding ministry, join us in Room 124 on alternating Monday nights from 7 to 8:30. Upcoming sessions: Feb. 19,and March 5 & 19. We need help with everything from cutting fabric to sewing, stuffing and simple embroidery. All skill levels welcome. We also have some homework projects if you can’t make the work sessions. Food Pantry Volunteers Needed: Share has added a new food pantry opening on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month between the hours of 10:30 and noon. Volunteers are needed to staff these openings between 10:15 and 12:15. No experience necessary. Anyone interested can contact Chris Wilbur at ShareWishes@gmail.com. Share is located at McLean Baptist Church.

Mission Trip with Charles Wesley UMC: You’re invited to participate in an Appalachian Service Project in Rainelle, WV. The trip to rebuild homes damaged by flooding will be April 25-28. Contact Tylee Smith, 703-356-7126, tylees@verizon.net.

This Month’s Collection: Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center: We are collecting paper towels, HE laundry detergent, Cheerios and white cake mix. Please place your donations in the bins outside the sanctuary & in the Fellowship Lobby.

Trinity United Methodist Church is located in McLean, VA. Our weekly worship services are on Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. and on Wednesdays at noon. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. for children and adults. Children up to 6th grade are also invited to Children's Education during the 10:30 service.
