Saturday morning, October 14, Trinity will be buzzing with projects, fun and a chili fellowship lunch for all ages. Trustees and Church and Society will host Trinity’s Fall Good Works Day on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., followed by lunch. This year will be a truly intergenerational experience and we encourage everyone to come out and assist in the wonderful projects which will serve Trinity, our community, and the world.

Wayne Detwiler and the Trustees invite you to lend a hand with projects large and small around Trinity’s campus. We will have the tools and supplies for helpers of all ability levels to work on inside and outside projects, including railing and parking lot painting, repairs at Trinity House and on the playground, and door repairs and ground maintenance. Drop in when you are able and join your friends for a morning of service that will enhance our campus. Please contact Wayne Detwiler or Karen Hunt for more information.

Church and Society will host three community service projects: writing letters to the children at Heart to Heart Children’s Village, the orphanage in Honduras that we support; assembling books for children at Stanton Elementary School (open to anyone who is age 10 or older, anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian); and working at Share sorting and carrying food, carrying client grocery bags, collecting donations, sorting clothing donations and assisting clients as they choose their groceries (open to anyone who is high school age or older, anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who stays the entire time – volunteers will meet at Trinity at 8:45 a.m. then drive themselves over to Share then depart Share at 12 p.m.). Anyone who would like to volunteer for one of these projects is asked to please sign up on the registration sheets in the Fellowship Building by Sunday, October 8 so that we can get an accurate count and prepare accordingly. Please contact Alexandra Kiefer for more information.

With projects indoors and out, it will be a fun morning of service for the whole family. At noon, join us for fellowship and to celebrate these good works and ministries with a chili lunch provided by our own Trinity Cooks Crew!
